Includes: test drive, complete code scan & full check of vehicle, check all fluids (levels & conditions), leaks, brakes, tires, lights, suspension, steering, etc. Prior to service: check engine light is on. Fog lights inoperable. Steering wheel off center to the right & drifts slightly to the right. Battery hold down is broken. Battery has lots of corrosion on it. Missing serge tank cap. All engine mounts are soft. Both front tires at 8/32nds tread depth. Driver's side rear tire at 9/32nds tread depth. Passenger side tire at 8/32nds tread depth. Tire size: 235/65R18 current tires are Sailun Inspire. Driver's side front brake pad at 7mm thickness. Passenger side front brake pad at 6mm thickness. Driver's side rear brake pad at 2mm thickness. Passenger side rear brake pad at 3mm thickness. Both lower control arm bushings torn allowing for excessive wheel movement (front). Transfer case moderately leaking. Carrier bearing very soft at rubber & rubber is deteriorating. Tail pipe has been hit & bent tail pipe & muffler. Transmission fluid very dark and burnt. Rear differential fluid slightly dark. Possible timing chain noise (full of oil). Engine dust cover (top) has stuck bolts–would have to forcibly move & potentially break to get to the spark plugs. Technician did not proceed with this due to potential breakage. Both engine air filter & cabin air filters are dirty. Transmission shutters when driving at highway speeds. Battery passed testing, but had a hard time restarting after code scan. Battery at 100% charge, 12.81V voltage & at 95% health. Codes present: Engine codes: P0420 & P0430. Transmission code: P17F0. ABS (anti-lock brake system) codes: C1109 &C1130.

P0448 indicates a shorted evaporative emission control system vent control circuit. There is a technical service bulletin from Nissan (TSB NTB15-079G) which say to replace the EVAP canister (canister), the canister filter, the fuel filler pipe, canister drain hose, and fuel filler cap. Inspection found that the current canister is very restricted.
FUEL HOSE – Remove & Replace.
The left rear wheel lug nuts were torqued to 100 ft lbs each.

Prior to service: Oil is full; E-power steering fluid not on dipstick & cannot see it in the reservoir. Battery at 68% charge, 12.41 voltage & at 100% health. Cabin air filter & engine air filter both dirty. Recommend replacing. Replaced both filters per customer's authorization. Topped off washer fluid. Topped off coolant fluid. Topped off power steering fluid. ATF fluid condition: sealed unit. Serpentine belt okay. Tire pressure at 32psi. Both front tires at 1/32nds tread depth. Both front tires have heavy outer edge wear. Both rear tires at 5/32nds tread depth. Tire size: 215/60R16 Both front brake pads at 5mm thickness. Recommend four new tires & an alignment. Both rear brake pads at 4mm thickness. Oil life reset.

Verified the customer concern. Inspection found the right front headlight bulb to be out of its socket. Reinstalled. The left front lock ring mount is broken. The headlight bulbs are different and the color spectrum varies.

Test drive and inspection found severe brake pad fade when stopping. All of the brake pads have uneven wear and/or low pad thickness. All of the brake rotors are glazed. Brake pad thickness- Driver front- outboard pad 4mm, inboard pad 3mm. Passenger front- outboard pad 5mm, inboard pad 3mm. Driver rear- outboard pad 4mm, inboard pad 8mm. Passenger rear- outboard 5mm, inboard pad 8mm. Also noticed the tires are very noisy. The rear tire tread is very chopped on the inner edge.
Replace Front Brake Calipers, Hoses, Pads, and Rotors.
Replace Rear Brake Calipers, Hoses, Pads, and Rotors.

Prior to service- The steering wheel is off center to the left. Noticed tire noise front brakes warped. Tires are chopped, showing inner edge wear. front brake pads are 10mm thick. The rear are 6mm. Tire tread depth is 10/32 on all four tires. Noticed vibration at idle. P2098 Position catalyst fuel trim system bank 2. P0345 Camshaft position sensor / bank 2. Cleared codes and test drove. The vehicle stalled when turning left. Difficult to restart.
On multiple test drives and idle times, the codes have not returned and the vehicle has not stalled. The P2098 is intermittent. It may return and require additional diagnostics.
