    • P0300-00 Random misfire. P0304-00 Cylinder #4 misfire detected. P0316-00 Misfire detected on start-up. Testing verified misfire on cylinder #4. Lab scope tested the ignition coil. Found an erratic pattern. Removed the ignition coil & spark plug. Found that the spark plug is cracking. The ignition coil is likely distressed as well. Other codes found in the system- HVAC B11E6-11 Right HVAC damper position sensor.
    • Verified the repair with a test drive. The technician noticed during the test drive that there is a possible wheel bearing and/or tire noise and the vehicle drifts to the left. There a brake noise that appears to be coming from the rear. The serpentine belt is squealing. According to the oil change sticker, the vehicle is roughly 1,000 miles over due for service.

The rear tire has 2/32 tread depth. We would recommend replacing all four tires and performing an alignment. Both of the serpentine belts are beginning to split and fray. The front brake rotors are grooved and glazed. The front brake calipers are also starting to seize. The rear brakes are also glazed and making noise. We pulled a sample of the fluid from the rear differential. It was dark in color and had a fair amount of metallic particles in it. We would also recommend performing a transmission and transfer case fluid service as well because of the other fluid conditions along with the age & mileage of the vehicle.

    • Inspection found the following- The steering wheel is off center. All of the tires have chopped tread and inner edge wear. The wheel bearings are okay at this time. The rear differential is very noisy. We pulled a fluid sample and found a lot of metal particles in the fluid. We recommend replacing the rear differential assembly, tires and alignment.
